Boxes made from special blanks; covered boxes.-In a box of the type which is bent and folded into shape and waterproofed by coating inside and outside with materials of an adhesive nature, the front and end flaps a<1>, 1, Fig. 1, of the lid a are tucked respectively inside the front side c and the overlapping end forming flaps 2, 3 of the box. The endforming flaps 4 of the bottom d are then bent upwards and the box, Fig. 3, secured by an external wrapper of paper or cloth. The coating of the inside of the box with a waterproof adhesive wax, varnish, gum, &c. is preferably done before the blank is bent and folded, and the external coating may be applied before or after these operations.
