Abstract

Folding boxes; straps, bands, and battens, strengthening. -A box blank comprises one or more sheets of material scored to form main body portions 18, 19, 20, 21 each having end flaps, to which are secured cleats 25 formed to abut or overlap when the blank is folded and to receive ends. Binding-wires may be secured to the blank, preferably in such a position that they are covered by the cleats when the blank is folded. The cleats may be so formed that their ends require further forming before the blank can be folded.
