Folding boxes.-A box for transporting eggs, fruit, bottles, &c. is made in one piece with its lid, from a blank of cardboard &c.. of the form shown in Fig. 1, and divided by score lines A ... F into sections a ... e and a' ... e', of which the parts d, e, d<1>, e<1> form the lid or cover portion. To facilitate the setting-up of the box, the parts a<1>, b<1>, c<1>, &c. are divided by cuts f, g, h, and are formed into locking-flaps. The mode of engagement of these flaps is shown in Fig. 3, which illustrates a stage in the assembling of the parts. The Specification in the original form as published under the Act of 1901 comprises also the statement that the box may be made of sheet iron and without a cover, and that it may be used for transporting berries or flowers. This subject-matter does not appear in the Complete Specification as accepted.
