Lowering guides.-To facilitate the renewal or repair of the wire jackstays described in the parent Specification and employed in connexion with the lowering of ships' boats, the port and starboard stays consist of a continuous length of wire passed beneath the bottom of the ship. The stays may be located in channels or other means may be adopted to protect the stays against chafing.
