Abstract
145,332. Lieback, R. Oct. 27, 1919. Ornamenting.-Consists in producing inscriptions and designs on artificial stone by cutting out the letters b and the design a from a plate of slate by sand-blasting, and embedding the plate in the stone so that the stone fills the apertures, the surface of the ornamented plate being finally polished. Slate of various colours may be employed, and parts of the design may be gilded or coloured. Connecting-bars, covered by the artificial stone, may be employed to connect various parts of the slate pattern-plate.
