Abstract

Ornamenting.-Jewellery and other ornamental articles are made of two or more pieces of glass, crystal, or other material capable of being ground and polished, placed in contact with the contacting surfaces optically ground to slightly different curvatures so that interference colour effects are produced. As shown, two pieces of glass or the like a, b, one of which may be opaque, are united round the edge by cement d and are mounted in a ring e. The contacting surfaces are approximately flat.
