Abstract

1451097 Cap-stoppers B E A BORGEAUD 24 Get 1973 [24 Oct 1972 13 Feb 1973] 49500/73 Heading B8T A cap-stopper comprises a stamped metal sheet envelope 1 constituting the cap, the inside of which is at least partly coated with a synthetic resin plating 2. A stopper 3, which is at least partly made from a resin, weldable to said synthetic resin, is placed inside the cap, and the whole is heated briefly so that a weld between the stopper 3 and the plating 2 is formed. The stopper 3 has a peripheral skirt 4 and an inner skirt 5 which engage both sides of the neck of the container to be capped. Protuberances 6, 7 ensure tightness of fit. A ring 11a is formed at the lower end of the cap 1 with a beginning of a tear 8, said ring and said cap being separated on first opening. Another embodiment has a threaded stopper.
