Sliding-jaw wrenches; jaw faces; handles. - The handle member comprising the shank member of sliding-jaw wrenches is made with a part readily removable to give access to the adjusting-nut for rapid adjustment, and the inner jaw is slidably mounted on the handle member to provide small adjustment of the gap between the jaws. The shank 3 of the fixed or outer jaw 4 slides through the handle 1 which is formed by a folded blank and a filling-piece 2, and is cut away to receive an adjusting-nut 9 on the screwed end 8 of the shank 3. The lower end 19 of the handle is readily removable as for example about a pivot 20 to permit of rapid adjustment of the nut 9, after which the jaw 4 is pulled away from the jaw 10 and the part 19 replaced. The jaw 10 is slidable on an inclined rib on the filling-piece 2 under the action of a lever 14 pivoted to the jaw and the handle and held in normal position by a spring 17, and its movement may be limited by a pin 18 passing through a slot in the rib,
