Abstract

1436915 Copper alloy OLIN CORP 2 April 1974 [14 June 1973] 14575/74 Addition to 1399293 Heading C7A A copper base alloy of composition:- wherein the nickel to manganese ratio is at least 0À75. The alloy may be prepared by casting at 1000-1200‹C hot-rolling at 700-900‹C, coldrolling and annealing at 550-900‹C for periods of up to 10 hours with a cooling rate in excess of 25‹C per hour during cooling down to 300‹C to produce a grain size of 0À005 mm. and ageing at 450‹C. The alloy may be used in springs subjected to stress and corrosive atmospheres.
