Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a wet type exhaust-smoke desulfurizer wherein pH adjustment for a slurry is uniform and the duration of stagnation for the adjustment is short.
CONSTITUTION: A compressed gas fed from a blower 12 flows through a gas feed pipe 13 into a header 11, where it is distributed to injection pipes 10, and vigorously injected from small-diametered injection holes 17. The jets of compressed gas stir and mix a slurry 16 in a tank 3. Since propeller stirrers 6 are arranged on the inside peripheral surface of the tank 3 and the above-described jet stirrer is provided in the center of the bottom portion of the tank 3, the slurry 16 stagnating in the tank 3 is stirred uniformly. With a new unreacted slurry fed in the tank 3, it is mixed with the slurry 16 uniformly, accomplishing favrable pH adjustment for the slurry 16.
