Abstract

1433323 Heating greenhouses JOHN MARK NICHOLSON Ltd AH DRUMMON Ltd and ELLIOTT SIMMONDS Ltd [trading as NICHOLSON MFG Co] 13 April 1973 [13 Jan 1972] 1687/72 Heading F4V A space heater of the combustion type which in use delivers combustion-heated air to a greenhouse or like structure is provided with flexible ducting leading to air inlets of the heater so that air to be heated may be drawn from one or more selected points in the greenhouse remote from the heater, and a temperature responsive device located adjacent an inlet of the heater to respond to the temperature of air entering the heater from the ducting; said device controlling the operation of the heater to maintain a selected temperature of the air in the greenhouse. In the form shown, four flexible duets are provided, one duct 14a having an air inlet 15a raised from ground level and communicating with a heater inlet 13a, and the other three ducts 14b having their inlets 15b at ground level. A thermostat 16 adjacent inlet 13a controls the supply of gas to the gas-burning heater.
