Abstract
945,481. Hot air cooking devices. DELANEY ELECTRONICS Ltd. Sept. 16, 1960 [June 16, 1959], No. 20665/59. Heading H5H. [Also in Division F4] Cooking is effected by hot air which is fed to a cooking chamber or to a support 12 for a cooking vessel by an arrangement comprising a first pipe system 18 containing a fan 19 which blows air through a chamber 15, containing a heating device 16 to heat said air without admixing same with any combustion gas, and then through a second pipe system 21 containing a control valve 22 to the cooking chamber or to the support 12. The heating device may be an electric heating element or a gas or oil burner. In the arrangement shown there are two supports 12 and 13 fed by respective pipes 21, each containing a valve 22 operated by a knob 23. Three sheathed type electric heating elements 16 and a temperaturesensing element are connected to a thermostat 24. The fan 19 is electric and its speed may be varied by a control connected to the valves 22. A thermostat may be connected in the circuit to the fan motor. A recirculation duct 26 contains a valve 27 which is either controlled by a thermostat or connected to the valves 22. A control valve 28 is provided in the pipe 18. The unit utilizing the hot air may be connected to the chamber 15 by a flexible pipe.
