Abstract

1426331 Cartons BOXFOLDIA Ltd 2 May 1973 [11 May 1972] 22001/72 Heading B8P A carton for gas mantles, or for toys or cosmetics or household goods, is formed from a single blank and comprises a tubular body with top and bottom closure panels and a partition forming panel having an open sided cradle therein which is closed by a support member hinged to the blank. The blank is partially assembled to a flat condition by first folding partition 18 into face to face relation with panels 10, 11 and securing a part 24 in the position indicated at 26 by adhesive, and then folding panels 12 and 13 about line 15 so that they lie against panels 10, 11 and part 20 is secured by adhesive to the part indicated at 27. The carton can then be opened up to the form shown in Fig. 1 and the panels 41, 45, 46 folded to close the base. A mantle has its feet positioned, in the cradle 19 of the partition and a flap 32 forms the support member and retains the mantle in position. Panel 33 and a locking tongue close the carton top. There could be two partition panels and adhesive could be used to secure the top and bottom closure panels, also the closure panels could be hinged to different wall panels.
