Abstract

Take-up motions. - In taking-up mechanism comprising a cloth beam, takeup roller, and supplemental roller, the cloth is passed around the rollers and on to the beam which is driven by contact with the takeup roller in such a direction that there is a tendency to press the cloth on the beam against the take-up roller. The reduced ends 6 of the cloth beams 4 rest on inclined brackets 5, and the reduced ends of the take-up roller 2 and supplemental roller 3 are mounted in brackets 7, 8 or otherwise. The cloth 10 is passed between the beam 4 and roller 2, around the roller 2, and between it and the roller 3, around the roller 3, and back under the roller 2 to the beam 4. The roller 2 is driven in the direction of the arrow, so that there is a tendency to press the ends 6 of the cloth beam against the brackets 5 and the cloth on the beam against the roller 2. The roller 3 may be pressed against the roller 2 by adjustable springs in the ordinary manner.
