Abstract
121,659. Johnson, A. Jan. 30, 1918. Warps, tensioning. - In wire-weaving looms, the warps are given uniformity of tautness by means of a clamping or pressing device applied to the loom between the warp beam and the warp-conducting contrivances. In the form shown, the clamping-device for the warps comprises bars or boards a placed face to face and engaging brackets d, e at their extremities. The bars are adjustably held together by bolts g, which may be used in conjunction with springs, or by clips. The opposing faces of the bars may be covered with felt. Plain or clothed rollers clamped together may be used in place of bars.
