Abstract

126,443. Hoyle & Sons, J., Watkinson, J., and Hall, H. May 6, 1918. Letting-off warps; warps, tensioning.-A warptensioning device comprises a fixed bar or roller, a rotary roller, and a roller resting against and in surface contact with them, by which the warp is nipped against the fixed bar in proportion to the tension of the usual let-off motion. The device is shown in Fig. 1 applied to a loom having a Roper let-off motion C, the warp passing from the beam B, and under the rotary roller E, and around the roller F, and being nipped by this roller against the fixed bar D. The roller F may be mounted beneath the rollers D, E. In an ordinary loom, the back rest may serve as the fixed bar, or the rollers D, E may be mounted on a bracket adjacent the back rest.
