Cooking-stoves ; dampers.-A stove, of the kind comprising an oven 6, Fig. 4, above a close- and-open fire-grate 3 with a hot-plate consisting of two halves 2, 2<1> hinged at their side edges, is fitted with two hinged dampers 8, 8<1> for controlling the flow of the combustion products. The forward damper 8<1> is shown separately in Fig. 7; it consists of a hinged plate provided on one of its side edges with a snug 8<3>, which is engaged by an inclined surface 9<3> on a pull-and-push rod 9<1>, and raises' and lowers the damper as the rod 9<1> is moved to and fro. The rear damper 8, Fig. 4, which controls the combustion products passing up the side flues 4, 5, is similar and similarly operated.
