1410827 Hinges BLOXWICH LOCK & STAMPING CO Ltd 19 Dec 1973 [1 Nov 1972] 50278/72 Heading E2F In a combined hinge and hold-open device, two hinge leaves 1, 2 are connected together by studs 5 for relative pivotal movement about a hinge axis, an arm 13 is pivoted at 10 on one of the leaves (I) about an axis parallel to but spaced from the hinge axis and loaded by spring means 15 to urge the arm 13 about its pivot to hold an arcuate edge of the arm in engagement with a roller 17 rotatably mounted on the second leaf 2 the arcuate edge of the arm extending circumferentially about the hinge axis and being provided with two or more projections of part-circular outline 18, 19, 20 over one or more of which the roller 17 rides as the hinge leaves 1, 2 are brought to a fully opened position. The roller 17 is provided with a knurled or serrated peripheral surface.
