Abstract

1437454 Hinges BLOXWICH LOCK & STAMPING CO Ltd; 25 April 1974 [26 April 1973] 19890/73 Heading E2F A hold open device for a. vehicle door hinge comprises three cooperating cams 10, 11, 12 mounted on a hinge pin 9 and loaded axially by a compression spring 13, the cams 10 and 12 being slidably keyed to hinge leaf 2 and the cam 11 being slidably keyed to hinge leaf 1. Each cam has a lug for keying it to the respective hinge leaf and has a diametrical groove in one face and a complementary rib on the other face. The groove on the cam 10 is angularly displaced with respect to the groove on the cam 12 so that the door can be located in two angularly spaced positions. Reference has been directed by the comptroller to Specification 1397776.
