Cultivators. - A rotary cultivating-implement comprises a drum k mounted on a vertical pivot at the end of a machine frame and carrying in radial slots arms h which support rotary tools a. The drum is driven from a motor through bevel gear. The tools or shares a are pivotally mounted on shafts g and are resiliently pressed up against fixed stops by springs d. The tools may be adjusted radially relatively to the drum. The arms h which are pivoted to the drum, carry rollers j engaging a fixed cam ring i secured to a frame m. The action of the cam is to raise the tools from the ground during part of their rotation. The drum and its associated parts may be adjusted vertically by a hand-wheel n actuating a screw o, the frame m and the drum k being guided during such adjustment by rods q passing through holes in a frame s.
