Body attachments, inflatable; inflating. - A life-saving, swimming, or bathing costume is provided with one or more inflatable tubes arranged in serpentine fashion and symmetrically in or upon the garment between the shoulders and the waist. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the inflatable tube or tubes b extend over the shoulders of the costume a and converge towards the waist, on the front, as shown, or on the back, or on both front and back. In a modification, the arrangement is U-shaped. Fig. 4 shows another arrangement, which extends over the shoulders, under the arms, and around the waist and neck, at the back. The shoulder parts of the tubes may be enlarged relatively to the depending portions, or vice versa. An inflating-tube c, fitted with a valve, is provided for inflation of the tube or tubes b, either directly by the wearer, or by a hand-pump etc.; the tube c may branch into both sides of the tube or tubes b.
