Abstract
441,957. Shirts. KATZ, H., 282, 19th Avenue, and BOGART, A., 502, East 32nd Street, both in Paterson, New Jersey, U.S.A. Nov. 9, 1934, No. 32269. Convention date, Nov. 28, 1933. [Class 141] To prevent a shirt particularly an outer shirt, from riding up in wear, that portion of the back below a line approximately at the lower edges of the shoulder blades converges downwardly and inwardly to the waist line and then diverges again below the waist line, to form a shirt with a hollow back leaving the sides and front free-fitting. In one construction, the back comprises three elements 1, 2, 2, Fig. 1, shaped as shown ; when sewn together these form a shirt which is body conforming rearwardly of the median side lines 7, Fig. 7. In another construction, a horizontal band is stitched to the back at the waist line and a vertical pleat is provided, to form a shirt of the Norfolk style.
