Abstract

1354372 Overalls R H McDONALD 9 Feb 1972 [23 Feb 1971] 5182/71 Heading A3V A one-piece suit shaped to cover the body, arms and legs of a wearer is provided with a length of air distribution tubing 16 carried on an apron 14 detachably secured to the inside of the back of the suit. The apron 14 which is preferably of canvas or PVC is provided with hooks (not shown) for insertion in eyelets in the suit just below the collar, a stabilising press-stud being provided on each shoulder. The tubing 16 is fed from a T-piece 28 connected by tubing through a hole in the back of the suit to a valve and supply connector (not shown) which may be worn on a belt for the suit. The tubing 16 passes in sinuous fashion upwardly in the body of the suit, into the arms and also to the legs. The ends of the tubing are closed, the tubing is punctured throughout its length to provide air distribution holes. A face mask and hood may also be provided and supplied with air from the supply connector by way of a further control valve. The suit which is preferably of nylon or PVC is provided at the front with a sliding clasp fastener 10d covered by a double-fly front 10e. The sleeves are provided with a double cuff having a straight hemmed inner cuff and an elasticated cuff and press studs may be provided for adjustment of the ankles 10f.
