Abstract
1397536 Atmospheric gas burners C C TRAPP 7 Aug 1972 [7 May 1971] 13860/71 Heading F4T A gas burner has a first section with a tubular burner body 13 having an end plate 14 with an aperture 15 therein, and a section 16 with an end wall 17 having a Venturi tube 18 projecting therefrom and a fuel gas and air inlet chamber 20 on the side of wall 17 remote from tube 18, and a fuel gas inlet 21 to chamber 20, the wall 17 and plate 14 having co-operating bayonettype securing means whereby the two sections can be releasably secured together with the Venturi tube passing through aperture 15 into body 13. The sections can be secured together by inserting tube 18 through aperture 15 and inserting lugs 24 on wall 17 through slots (25), Fig. 3a (not shown), in plate 14 and then rotating the two sections relative to one another so that bearing surfaces 26 on plate 14 engage lugs 24 to draw wall 17 and plate 14 together and compress a sealing ring 27 therebetween. The lugs 24 may alternatively be provided on the first section and the slots (25) and surfaces 26 on the second section 16. Reference is made to Specification 1,303,545.
