Abstract

1303545 Gasburners D V GREAVES 8 Sept 1971 [21 Dec 1970] 60677/70 Heading F4T [Also in Division E2] An elongated gas burner tube 1 is detachably attached to a gas jet and air-entrainment assembly box 11 by either pin and keyhole slot 13, 14, Fig. 1, or bayonet, Fig. 4, interengagement of mutually facing end plates 8 and 7 respectively of the box 11 and burner tube 1, the box end plate 8 having a Venturi tube 6 projecting therefrom into the tube 1 and the box 11 having a gas jet 12 facing the inlet of the Venturi tube 6 to entrain air drawn in through an open side of the box 11. The keyhole slots may be disposed in the plate 7 for either rotational or rectilinear engagement of the parts and may be shaped to provide a wedging attachment. The bayonet lugs 16 and notches 18, 19, Fig. 4, are formed in interfitting tubular flanges 9, 17 on the plates 8 and 7 respectively, one lug 16 being larger than the others for correct relative location.
