Abstract

952,408. Liquid fuel burners. MASTER VIBRATOR CO. June 15, 1962 [June 15, 1961], No. 23146/62. Heading F4T. A burner assembly comprises a burner body 1 having a central aperture in which is disposed a burner fuel and air nozzle 22, and air passages 13 in the body 1 disposed tangentially and opening into arcuate recesses 11 in the body surrounding the nozzle 22. The latter is supplied with compressed air through a pipe 21 and a tube 17. The fuel is supplied through a pipe 24 to a chamber 23 and is aspirated through bores in the nozzle by the air discharge through the convergent end of the air pipe 17. A control plate 3 on the front of the body 1 is flanged at its outer periphery 5 and has a flanged central aperture 4. Air blades 7 are edge-mounted to the control plate 5 and are tangential to the inner peripheral portion thereof. The inner ends 8 of the blades 7 are curved to form a nest for the circular burner body 1, and are notched to receive studs 9 and a clamping screw 10 on the periphery of the body 1. Two igniter assemblies 26 with elements 27 are disposed in the body 1 adjacent the nozzle 22.
