Abstract
139,342. Scanlan, M. R. April 11, 1919. Moving-chamber apparatus; for granular material; varying quantity measured. - Comprises a pocketed slide h adapted to be reciprocated by hand in a casing a provided with a neck c for attachment of a hopper e and with a delivery shoot g. The pocket n is formed by a slot in the slide containing an adjustable block i set to vary the size of the pocket by means of a screwed spindle k anchored to the slide. The slide is moved by a handle p, the shank of which passes through a slot o formed in the casing and provided with rubber insertions q to absorb shock. The casing a may be pivotally mounted so as to facilitate the emptying of the hopper, and the spindle k may be provided with locking means to prevent tampering.
