Abstract

215,597. Ginner, W. E. May 31, 1923. Moving-chamber apparatus.-A tea or like canister 1 is fitted with a delivery funnel 2 angularly spaced therefrom between which and the canister is arranged a series of communicating containers 3, 4, 5 each movable about a common axis 9 to bring the containers from beneath the outlet to the canister into a position over the delivery funnel, the containers being formed with extensions forming closures one of the other. The containers are formed as parts of superimposed lever arms 6, 7, 8 movable about an axis 9 by means of handles 10. A plate extending from the delivery funnel closes the lowest container until it is brought over the funnel 2. The containers 4, 5 are provided with projections 14 so that by moving the upper container from filling to discharge position the lower containers are moved therewith. The lowest container is moved when a small quantity is required and the second handle moved, taking with it containers 4 and 5 when a greater quantity is required, and so on. A stop 15 limits the movement of the containers which may be provided with interchangeable spring levers to vary the capacity.
