Abstract

239,802. Davis, A. F. April 18, 1925. Moving-chamber apparatus. - In a receptacle for tea &c. in which a quantity falls from a storage chamber into a measuring chamber and is delivered when the receptacle is inverted, the measuring chamber is mounted so that the distance between it and the storage chamber can be adjusted to vary the amount of tea delivered. The storage chamber A, which may be removable, is carried in the casing B by projections in the chamber A engaging between studs C on the casing B and terminates in a conical base F through which the tea falls into the conical measuring-chamber G carried by a ring M having a bolt L engaging an inclined slot in the casing and adjustably locked therein by a wing-nut N. A handle 0 is used for inverting the receptacle and the tea in the chamber G is delivered through the orifice J of the removable conical top of the casing B.
