Abstract

434,692. Delivering measured quantities of granular materials. WILSON, W., 205, Wollaton Road, Nottingham. March 18, 1935, No. 8321. [Class 106 (v)] In apparatus for delivering measured quantities of granular materials of the kind comprising a supply container having at its base a vertically rotatable member 3 formed with peripheral measuring pockets, the rotor is mounted on a spindle 10 journalled at one side in a wall of a housing 11 for the rotor which at the other side carries a closing plate 12 through which project ratchet teeth corresponding in number to the number of measuring pockets and the spindle carries a lug or the like 9 provided with a spring pressed plunger 8 adapted to engage with the ratchet teeth. The lug is actuated by a handle 6 mounted on the spindle 10 and adapted to be returned by a spring 13. The closing plate 12 carries a spring blade which engages the ratchets to prevent reversal of the rotor and has abutments to limit the movement of the handle 6.
