Abstract

104,243. Repetto, E. March 22, 1916. Moving-chamber apparatus f o r granular or pulverulent materials. -Relates to receptacles for the automatic distribution of measured quantities of sugar, &c. The material contained in the receptacle 1 passes through the tube 2 into the pockets 3 of the revolving drum 4, which presses laterally against disks of elastic material 5 to prevent loss of the material. The drum 4 is mounted on a spindle 8, which is journaled in cross walls 17. The lever 6 carries a pawl 11 engaging with a ratchet-wheel 10 on the spindle 8, so that when the lever is pressed down, the drum is rotated, so that one pocket is discharged and an empty pocket filled. The lever 6 is returned to its initial position by the spring 12.
