481,106. Delivering material from hoppers. FINCHER. S. Aug. 31, 1936, No. 23744. [Class 78 (i)] [Also in Group XVII] In a machine for filling powder &c. into containers, a helical blade j, rotating in a guide funnel f drives the powder into an adjustable chamber u whence it passes into a container at the lower end of the sleeve q. The chamber u is adjusted by screwing the sleeve q on the threaded part n of the funnel, a locking nut t being provided. The container is placed against the face plate m retained by lock-nuts v, and bars w are provided in the bore s to prevent the powder passing down as a block.
