Abstract

Walls and partitions.-Partitions, garden walls or fences, and other walls are formed from concrete slabs P reinforced with wirework or expanded metal and pre-cast studs, posts, or pillars formed in two parts, the slabs, copings, and studs being all grouted together. In constructing the walls, holes and troughs are dug for the foundations of the posts and are filled with concrete, in which are embedded metal plates C and one or more metal upright rods B. The slabs and parts D of the posts are placed in position, and concrete is poured between the parts D of the posts, which may be connected by bolts G. The rods B, X are spaced by plates, which are drilled by means of templets. The coping blocks are provided with sharp-edged metal plates K and are grooved to fit over the slabs P.
