Abstract

1380683 Load handling pallet PALTIER CORP 8 Jan 1973 [25 Jan 1972] 1007/73 Heading B8H Tiering frame for a pallet is formed of two sections 14, 15 each with a pair of posts 16 with pallet engaging feet 18 at one end and supporting a V-shaped support 19, 20 at their other ends. The apices of the sections are coupled together by a bolt 25, held captive in one support 20, and engaging a nut 32 integral with the other support 19. The bolt is held captive by an obliquely angled pin 30 or by off-setting a portion (57), Fig. 10 (not shown), of its shank, or by having a reduced diameter portion (60), Fig. 13 (not shown), adjacent the head. The head of the bolt has scollops 38 to frictionally engage the support 20 when it is tightened. The nut may be formed from a pressed plate 34 secured to the support 19 or may be pressed out from the tube of the support 19.
