Abstract

1,013,819. Load handling pallets. BIRMINGHAM PALLET CO. Ltd. Oct. 9, 1964 [July 9, 1963], No. 27065/63. Heading B8H. A pallet 12 has a corner post made from a length of angle-iron 10 with a plate 11 of tapered shape welded thereto along both of its tapering edges forming a socket to receive an extension post 13 made from angle-iron with a tapered point. The arrangement is such that the tapering edges of the webs of the post 13 engage the inner face of the plate 11 adjacent to its tapering edges. The extension posts 13 may be coupled together to form parts of some other structure such as a retaining wall (not shown).
