Abstract

137,789. North British Diesel Engine Works, Ltd., and Maclagan, J. C. M. Sept. 25, 1919. Pistons; pistons, attaching to rod.-In an internal-combustion or other engine, the piston-rod is formed with a cylindrical parallelsided head B at the end and is passed through the piston from the working face. The head bears on a recessed seating in the piston and the rod is secured by a screw E screwing on to an enlarged part of the rod. A cap G of heat-resisting material is screwed to the end of the rod.
