Abstract

1368025 Valves IMI OPELLA Ltd 18 Jan 1973 [11 Feb 1972] 6497/72 Heading F2V A valve or tap has a non-rotatable axially movable closure means moved by screw-threaded co-operation with an axially-fixed rotatable operating spindle. For convenience two embodiments have been shown in one valve, i.e. a mixer valve 10. The operating spindle 32, or 49 is mounted in direct engagement with the valve body 11 and is fixed axially by virtue of its connection with hand wheel 43 and its abutment with head nut 40. Closure means 27 and 46 are octagonal in cross-section.
