Abstract

1367721 Valves IMI OPELLA Ltd 27 June 1973 [28 July 1972] 35369/72 Heading F2V In a fluid flow control tap, the outlet spout 13 is keyed to the body 10 by an annular segment 17 releasably fixed to the body by a pin 19 screw-threadedly engaging the body and locatable in an aperture 18 of the segment, on assembly the segment being housed in an annular channel 15 of the spout. The spout is thus rotatable relative to the segment and body. The spout may be made non-rotatable by introduction of a second segment (21) (Fig. 2, not shown) located in the channel 15, or it may be made partially rotatable by providing abutment surfaces in the channel. In an alternative construction the segment (36) (Fig. 3, not shown) is housed in a collar (33) which is expandable to fit on to the spout in a fixed or rotatable manner.
