1363489 Non - woven fabric DEXTER CORP 8 Oct 1971 [29 Oct 1970] 46966/71 Heading D2B A waterlaid non woven fabric having substantially uniform entanglement-free fibre distribution is made from crimped man-made staple fibres having a length of at least ¥ inch and a denier of up to 6 dpf. The man-made fibres may be made of regenerated cellulose e.g. viscose rayon, cellulose ester e.g. cellulose acetate, polyamide, polyester, vinyl polymers e.g. polyvinyl alcohol, acrylic polymers, or polyolefins. Uncrimped papermaking fibres may be incorporated in the fabric. The fabric may be formed by wet-laying a dispersion of the fibres in a medium having a viscosity of 15-90cp. The latter may be an aqueous solution of an acrylamide polymer.
