Abstract
1362102 Steam generators KRAFTWERK UNION AG 24 Oct 1972 [29 Oct 1971] 49059/72 Heading F4A In a steam generator having walls and a substantially flat combustion chamber bottom formed from gas-tight welded tubes, the bottom tubes run directly into the wall tubes, meeting the walls at an angle α(< 45 degrees), and extending from entry points 10-13 arranged along or adjacent straight lines 14, 15 to make at least one right angled turn before meeting the walls. The lines 14, 15 extend at right angles to each other through the centre of the combustion chamber bottom and are offset by an angle (45 degrees-α) from the perpendicular bisectors of the walls. Further entry points are arranged on lines 16-19 which continue at a slight angle from the ends of lines 14, 15. All entry points are fed from a two part header 3, 4 which receives water from conduits 1, 2.
