1357017 Yarn winding and knotting ELITEX ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI 4 Nov 1971 [13 Nov 1970] 51264/71 Heading D1J A yarn winding unit of the kind comprising a yarn knotter 5, a yarn detector 3 below the knotter, a nozzle 4 swingable across the knotter, for conveying the lower yarn end to the knotter and a nozzle 14 for conveying the upper yarn end to the knotter, is characterized in that there are scissors 7 above the knotter 5 for cutting off excess yarn from a supply cop 2 when a break occurs between a brake 8 and the take-up package 10. This excess yarn is removed by a nozzle 9. Such a break is detected by means not shown. A swinging mechanism 6 assists in introducing the yarn ends into the knotter 5.
