Abstract
1,196,706. Creels. W. REINERS. 8 May, 1968 [13 May, 1967], No. 21805/68. Heading D1J. A creel for yarn packages 1, 2 has a thread holder 9 for each yarn package that is adjustably mounted such that it may be (a) in front of the package end face 1a, 2a as illustrated in full lines; or (b) outside the region of the package periphery surface prolonged beyond the package end face. In the latter setting the thread holders extend along the broken lines 9c to act as balloon-disturbing members. In the full line position the thread holders 9 hold the thread commencements F ready for grasping by means (not shown) for knotting thread ends to yarn being wound up. The holders 9 may be rooked by arms pivotally coupled to a common axially displaceable rod 10.
