Abstract

1,098,583. Winding machine. LEESONA CORPORATION. Aug. 16, 1965 [Sept. 28, 1964], No. 34967/65. Heading D1J. [Also in Division F2] In a winding machine in which there is provided a rotatable, threaded, tubular guide 32 for receiving a yarn from a knotter 26 and delaying it return to the constantly rotating traverse roll 18 until the package 10 is accelerated from rest, the tubular guide 32 is provided with a brake which may be present in dependance on the yarn count and package size so that the speed of rotation of member 32 and hence the time delay before the yarn is returned to the traverse roll 18 is sufficient to allow the package to obtain normal winding speed.
