Abstract
1443305 Knitting machines IRO AB 6 Aug 1974 [16 Aug 1973] 34607/74 Heading D1C A thread storage feeder for textile, e.g. knitting machines comprises a rotating drum 1 on which thread turns are wound and advanced axially to form a reservoir from which the thread can be withdrawn axially lover a rim 1a of the drum, a control element such as a hook 15 or rod positioned or positionable in the thread withdrawal path to ensure a positive feed, a thread guide 10 and an actuator 11, 16 of a stop motion or indicating device responsive to reduced thread tension comprising an eye or other guide 11 normally held by the thread tension, against a biassing spring, on the axis A but pivotably displaceable as shown to actuate the device when the thread tension drops to such an extent that the thread F' is carried by the drum out of engagement with the hook 15.
