Abstract
1354460 Reinforcement mesh in cast concrete precast blocks or strongrooms AEGIS INSTALLATIONS Ltd 10 Feb 1972 [10 Nov 1970] 53374/70 Headings E1A E1B and E1W Reinforced concrete in the form of blocks, slabs or cast in-situ strongroom walls has a reinforcement 2, 32 or 33 formed of an assembly of corrugated mesh panels 5 of metal or other material. The panels are secured face to face with their peaks closely adjacent and opposite so as to form rows of passages. Blocks (Fig. 3) may be formed with bores 4 in which steel rods may be placed to secure adjacent courses. The blocks may also be formed with grooves 3 around their periphery so that adjacent blocks may be secured together by a grouted-inloosetongue or bar 10 of concrete reinforced with mesh 12. Mesh panels 7, 34 may surround the corrugated panel assembly. The cast in-situ strongroom walls may include fillers of hard or soft metal or plastics balls, plates strips or clips to increase their resistance to cutting.
