Abstract

1332088 Spray carburetters SOC INDUSTRIELLE DE BREVETS ET D'ETUDES 18 Feb 1972 [2 March 1971] 7527/72 Heading F1B A carburetter for I.C. engines comprises an accelerating pump 7 whose pumping member 17 is operated in conjunction with the throttle 5, the pump inlet pipe 28 extending downwardly in use from a float chamber 3 to an inlet valve 27, open when the pump is not actuated. The pump delivery pipe 33 has a valve 23 and extends to the carburetter intake pipe upstream of throttle 5. Vapour bubbles produced in the pump can pass to the float chamber. Pipe 33 is of a poor conductor to inhibit vaporization of fuel therein.
