Abstract

1301269 Spray carburetters MIKUNI KOGYO CO Ltd 7 April 1970 [10 April 1969] 16481/70 Heading F1B In a carburetter having a main fuel chamber 15 defined by a diaphragm 18 which controls the fuel inlet valve 23 to the chamber, a fuel well 36 connected to the supply passage 33 to the chamber communicates with the induction passage 11 through a pipe 40 and passages 16, 17. A valve 42 which is opened manually allows fuel to be drawn from the well 36 into the passage 11 for engine starting. Fuel is pumped to the passage 33 by an integral intake manifold actuated diaphragm 25 or a separate engine driven plunger pump. With the well 36 full, fuel returns through conduit 39 to the vented fuel tank 30. Openings 41 in the pipe 40 provide for aeration of the fuel for starting.
