Abstract

133,050. Wolf Akt.-Ges., R. April 19, 1917, [Convention date]. Composite boilers. - In a composite boiler particularly suitable for supplying steam to a traction engine, a watertube section C is so connected to a multitubular section B that water does not circulate between the sections, the multitubular section serving only as a feed-heater and a steam-receiver. Hot water flows from the multitubular section through a pipe R into the bottom drum of the watertube section. Steam from the top drum flows through a pipe E into the upper part of the multitubular section. A superheater D is placed between the sections. The boiler serves as the foundation for the engine.
