Abstract

1319817 Clocks and watches D L PAKTER and T R KRAUSS 1 Sept 1970 [ 30 March 1970] 41748/70 Heading G3T A timepiece 10 has a transparent disc 34 which replaces a seconds hand and through which an hour hand 16, a minute hand 18, and a face 22 are visible, the disc 34 and face 22 being patterned to provide a changing display and hour numerals being provided on an exterior surface 20 of a bezel 12. In the arrangement shown, the face 22 is divided by an S-shaped curve 30, Fig. 4 (not shown) into two differently coloured areas. The disc 34 is divided by a curve which is similar, but laterally reversed, into a clear area and an area having a further colour. Rotation of the disc 34 thus produces a display of differently coloured ellipsoids of varying size. In an alternative embodiment, the disc 44, Figs. 5-9 (not shown) and the face (42) are each divided into three sectors of different colours.
