Abstract
1340249 Uses of luminescence SUWA SEIKOSHA KK 15 Dec 1971 [24 Dec 1970] 58268/71 Heading C4S [Also in Division G3] A timepiece movement apparatus, (e.g. a watch) comprises hour and minute hands, and/or at least two different indicia on the dial respectively coated with luminous paints of different colours to assist differentiation in the dark. The 12 o'clock position may be coated with a luminous paint of a different colour than the 11 or 1 o'clock position or the quarter hour larger indicia 3, 6, 9, 12 may be a different colour to the remainder. Four different colours may be used, two for hands and two for the indicia. Dial 13 may be white or coloured, the latter providing a decorative effect. Minute hand 15 may be provided with a strip 20 of a third colour luminous paint and hour hand 16 with a shorter fourth colour luminous strip. Second hand 14 may have a strip of a further colour.
